I have a ton of .223 brass (not 5.56) shot out of an AR-15 with a 5.56 chamber. Would there be any problems reloading this brass for a .223 bolt gun? thanks for the help.

External dimensions for both 5.56 and .223 are the same according to my Sierra and Nosler manuals. Full length resize then trim to fit.

Full length resize them and you might have to remove the crimp from the primer pocket, might have to trim them also before you reload them and then shoot away. One thing you might also want to check on the first couple cases that have been resized it that they fit in your bolt gun. Ran into some oversea's brass that I resized and wouldn't fit in my one bolt gun. Had to reset the sizing die alittle bit so that I was bumping the shoulder back just alittle bit more and it worked. The brass acted like it was alittle springy so I reset the die and that took care of it. But there are some that we just couldn't get to work. And we pitched them. 5 out of 100.
