Done these, boy does that frost my @$$

Also getting a stuck case and having to use a stuck case remover. That can burn a good 20 minutes if you keep your tools all over the place, like I do.

Yep, got excited the 3rd time reloading for my .300 Wthby. Done the resizing and then had to jump the priming stage for some reason and went to the powder and bullet seating. Went through 10 rounds before I figured out what was missing. IMR 4350 didn't run out the bottom but made me buy the bullet puller I was wanting.

Start with starting loads I had gotten lazy n would just back off a grain or so and go from there till the other day when I welded the case in my bolt and had to beat it open with a sledge after loading 45gr of gadget with a 168gr bullet n 308. Which is a common used load but not for new 700aacsd put new volt in it and 42.5gr equaled factory load velocity

My 4 year old Grandson decided to act like "Grampa", and pull
the handle on the powder measure, while "Grampa" was dropping
bullets into charged pistol cases. Fortunately it was set
for "Gramma's" 9mm practice ammo and only about 4 grains of
Universal hit the floor. To see the look on that young
man's face was priceless. He figured a "Grampa" spanking
was in his immediate future. His father was not a happy
camper, and "Grampa" had to fight back a huge grin...His
father did the same thing when he was about 4 years old,
but had forgotten that event.

Unprimed cases getting powder is my favorite screw up.

I have yet to over charge a case...Pretty careful about
that. And my loading shop, is on the second floor of
my heated(with 3/4 bath) shop, about 200' from the house.
My wife doesn't come down there to argue with me. She just
waits until I return to the house.

I do not drink,
or allow distractions when I am loading. My dog gets
upset at me, since she can't get even an ear scratch when
I am loading.

Same situation here. Found a great load, went back upstairs and loaded 50rnds of it, then proceeded to kill many different things with the 50 shots. When I had 3 or 4 left, I realized my mistake. I even had to pull the bullets to try and figure out #1 charge weight and #2 powder type. You'd be surprised how much Varget and Benchmark can look alike when staring at the two of them side by side. Figured out (through shooting) that it was Benchmark and wrote it down that time. Big pain in the a$$.

I am a regular at forgetting to close the the cleanout on my RCBS Chargemaster. It makes a mess. I finally put a sticky note behind it one the wall to remind me.

ive done that a couple of times. what i did was close the drain and mark 12 o clock with a black sharpie marker. makes it easy to see if its closed

+ about 100 on this one.

Having a to large of a shell holder in the press when you run the case up, then it won't grab the rim to pull it back down. Many, many times. Again, Miller Lite and reloading is not the best combinatin.

1 - Case volume really does matter. Your favorite .223 rem load in el cheapo Federal once-fired brass may (and probably will) have much higher pressure in 5.56 PRVI military brass.

2 - After you've made mistake #1, even though it's a load you use all the time just in different brass, make sure you check your fired brass for over-pressurization signs; blown primers, etc. Otherwise, something bad might happen...

You might have to forcefully separate parts of your gun that aren't supposed to be stuck together.

That would be really dumb... yeh?

I have been reloading for awhile and just when you get it down to a art some WILL go wrong.
When I was in Law Enforcement the agency I worked for only allowed us to carry wheel guns.
One night I was cleaning my 686 when I got a emergency call.
Welllllll - I grabbed some 158 gr. reloads loaded the 686
shut the cylinder and BOOOM ! ( The loudest sound you will ever hear). Bullet Thur the bench , the floor and the sewer pipe in the basement.
Answered the call , came home , cleaned **** up in basement
and got yelled at for 3 days by the wife.
MORAL of the story : Check for high primers on each and every round.

How about improperly resizing .223 brass for an AR, especially after going through all the trouble of reloading 50 pieces. Didnt take long to figure that mistake out, crap loads wont cycle properly through a tight fitting AR.
