Reloading shotgun shells

Bryan8, all these guys have given you good advise. I have shot trap since the early 70's. Used the Lee, the JR's the 650's and I use a 9000H for now as I shoot 8000 to 11000 per year now. I think the Lee is a good first time machine and there certainly many bushings. Only one thing I will caution you is get a good scale as powder varies lot by lot of the same powder. It is a good idea to begin by using the bushing recommended but weigh out the charge before loading. Frequently the bushing listed is not the correct one because the powder is "heavier" or "lighter". If the manual says you need 21.0 grains and the chart says to use a #36 bushing but the powder that is dropped when scaled says 19.4 in then you use a bigger bushing or if it says 22 grains then you know to try a smaller bushing. Also powder can after it sits after opening pick up moisture. So each time you go to reload, do not think it is the same as it was the last time especially if it has been awhile. I don't care what reloader you use, just use common sense in the powder and keep your head on your shoulders in reloading. If the wad don't fit, usually means you double charged the shell. Dump it and start again. You'll know right away if you double charge the shot, it spills all over. Have a good time. Reload only when your up to it. Reloading is a pleasant past time not to be rushed or interrupted. No watching the basketball game on TV while reloading. OK for radio. Don't get distracted, by phone, kids, or wife.

I have very good luck with the Mec Sizemaster, load 200rds a week for 2 years, only takes about 40mins to load 200,never hd one not go off,or not fit in chamber,in a over-under or semi out,and always ejected.
