Remington 511 scoremaster?

Anyone have one? Thoughts? A guy has one locally for se for $225

That was my first rifle. I got it for Christmas in 1962. Still have it, and it is a very accurate rifle. I cannot begin to tell you how many critters of all descriptions I have shot with that little Remington over the years. That 511 is the reason I fell in love with Remington rifles. I have no idea what one is worth today, but mine is priceless.

My grandfather gave one to my father as a gift when he was a boy and now I have it. Very accurate and nice rifle.

I have a 512 sportmaster from december of 48 and it still shoots lights out as well. If the gun is in the 85 to 90% range it is probably worth that but that seems a little high for that gun.

Great Gun, Got mine back in 62 and it has one of those old Weaver 4 power scopes on it. Excellent shooter.

Gunbroker has them from $150-$300 I'd say in good shape $225 ain't bad.

Got the 512 myself and its killed more game than any rifle I will ever own.
