Remington 7-1/2 small rifle benchrest primers

I have always used CCI 400 primers for .223 (I've been reloading for approx 4 years). I picked up a brick of these during the panic & didn't realize they were benchrest until I was putting them away. Anyhoo, what's the difference between benchrest & standard primers? Would there really be that much difference in accuracy? I am getting excellent groups with Hornady 55gr & 60gr Vmax with standard primers & various pwders. Thanks for any input

I've used both almost interchangeably with no real noticeable differences. Bench rest primers are supposed to have a more consistent application of product which may reduce variations in the final load. I shoot an Armalite M15-A4 and it seems to like just about whatever I feed it anyway. Recently, I've been using Remington 7 1/2 primers almost exclusively. I did not need to adjust my preferred load either.

I have gotten excellent performance from Rem 7 1/2's in my 223.

They are my preferred primer for my 223 and also 223 ackley and 222.
