Remington 700 LR 25-06

I just bought a 25-06 700 LR from a buddy , I'm going to put a Timmy trigger in and a scope. Just curious who has one and what kind of accuracy your getting out of it? I'm not sure what bullets I'm going to load for it yet but I think it will be a cool gun to have for deer hunting and the occasional coyote hunt in open country. I'm probably going to put a 4x12 on it so I can hunt with it. In my neck of the woods deer hunting anyways a 6x minimum scope is a little much.
 
I have a 25-06 Sendero and your rifle is as close as they've made since. Mine makes dime sized groups at 100 yards with Sierra's hunting load of RL22 and Sierra 100 match kings. It's a death ray on whitetail's. Period.

I have always had a love for the sendero and came across this gun and it seemed a lot like the sendero. Thanks for your input
 
Great cartridge and gun. I've owned a 700 VS in .25-06 since 1978 and I wouldn't part with it. I use mine mostly for ground hog hunting in OH so I shoot a lot of 85 gr bullets through it. It's very accurate and the most spectacular varmint rifle I've ever seen.

Works good for deer too with 100 gr bullets or 120 gr for bigger game.
 
Mines a custom m98 that I had rechambered from 257 Roberts to 25-06. Great caliber on deer and coyotes. H4831sc has been one of the standard powders for years for all things '06. I usually go 100gr and higher, but the Nosler 115gr BT works well in mine

Quarter bores are great, you need not push the upper velocity limits to get accuracy.

Ditto. H4831 (shortcut or regular) has been a wonderful powder for my 25-06.

MPFD, that's a nice rifle. It looks like a Sendero. I have two Senderos. They shoot great.

 
I have a 25-06 LR and am currently playing with 115 bergers and 4831sc. It is beginning to show promise. I have installed a timney trigger but have not been able to break away to shoot it since installing it.
