+1 on leejm's comments. Mine is a SPS stainless also in .22-250 Remington. Very accurate with several factory loads and with reloads tipped with 52 and 55 grain Sierra HP's that I've cooked up on my bench. When the rifle came out of the box it had a heavy but crisp trigger. It took me all of ten minutes to adjust it to 50 ounces. It still breaks like glass with 0 creep. After this adjustment I really like this rifle even more.
Last winter I broke through an iced over creek I was attempting to cross and slammed this rifle on the ice as freezing water gushed from the hole I'd just made. Water completely covered the rifle as I used it to spread my weight on the ice so I could extricate myself from the chest deep creek. After getting off the ice, I removed the bolt, checked the bore, and did another stand on the way back to my truck. I'd have had to completely disassemble one of my wood stocked polished blue rifles had I been using one them that day.
My SPS stainless is a real multi use tool.
Good shooting y'all.. Coyote 6974
