I believe the Remington custom shop did a limited run of these in .223, .22-250, and .308 in 1999-2000.

Does anyone know what the twist rate was on the .223Rem version? I'm hoping a fast twist, thanks

Measure it with a cleaning rod.

I is unlikely that the Custom Shop made a run of these - there would no point to it... it was a production item.

If it was made in ~2000 or later, it would probably be a 12".

You can call the Custom Shop and give them the serial number and they will tell you everything about it - the Custom Shop documents EVERYTHING that goes out of their doors.

ok, well it's just a rifle I seen for sale and had no contact with the buyer. Just curious.

Production perhaps but from what I had seen they were "calling" them built in the Custom Shop. I may be mistaken and just these custom barrels were made or ordered and then assembled as a production line.

I know many don't have much good to say about carbon fiber wrapped barrels but the only one I've ever handled was very nice and shot well enough to take a couple critters at 400yds.

From what I can tell these rifles were selling somewhere between $1500-1800 at the time and it is coming with bases rings and a $500 dollar burris. Asking $1100 for package from Estate sale.

I'm not really interested but if a couple other things I'm selling go, I just might be.

Not sure but didn't a company named Christensen build the barrels on these rifles? I saw one at a gun show recently but can't remember the barrel manufactor. I've heard they weren't that accurate. Shot good, just not great?????
