Remington 700 vs Savage Model 10

I've heard people say they really aren't to bad of an action, is there any truth to that or internet BS???

I've had a lot of 700's over the years that didn't shoot for snot, and some that did.

I've never had a Savage that didn't shoot well out of the box. I think some of that has to do with the floating bolt head.

With either one you'll probably change the stock. Easier to find a replacement stock for the Rem that for the Savage (single feed, staggered feed, action screw spacing, etc.).

Flip a coin.

The Rem 700 action is the small block Chevy of the gun world. Anyone can work on them and everybody has parts for them.
