That's what I'm thinking, thanks.

Just bought one about 30 mins ago.

Which brand did you go with? I found Brux #4 8 twists in stock at a place I've seen you mention before. If I go 8 twist, I'm basically committing to the 95-107 High BC bullets, right? That may be a good thing, I'm not sure yet. I have a 6.5 Creedmoor I'm liking so far, so I don't know if this 243 700 should be a "long range" rig or not.

If I go 8 twist, I'll try 105 amax first. Will I still get good performance from 87 gr vmax and 95 sst?

If you want a Krieger barrel and don't want to wait, check out bugholes.com. He carries a good selection of Krieger barrels.

He has Bartlein and Kreiger in stock in 6mm. Many different contours, mostly 8 twist.

Yes.
First class work and a great guy to deal with.

Shilen is having their open house-swap meet end of next month. (March 29th) Usually they sell several barrels cheap! There are usually several gunsmiths there showing off their wares, and several gun nuts peddling used barrels. It's free to drop a tailgate and sell or trade. Ennis is south of Dallas on US 45.

My son has a VTR 22-250 that shoots well, but it is LOUD. I made him tape up the brake holes one day, and it helped the noise and didn't change POI but a slight bit. The electrical tape came off easy at the end of the day.

Anton, Greg is about as good as it gets.
He's about the sharpest guy I've seen with the AI's if you want to go that direction.
