Remington 722 stock

Hello Gents,
I have this old Remington 722 in 222. It's a great rifle and my primary predator gun. I really enjoy it,but (had to be a but) I want to change the stock on it. It's a bit heavy and I'm...lazy now and want something a tad bit lighter.

Does anyone know of a "drop in stock" (synthetic) for this rifle? I've done a little searching and can't seem to locate what I'm looking for.
Thanks and good hunting.

I have one in 300 Sav and it fit right into a 700 ADL Stock with just a little fitting for the bolt handle and safety. You need to get a ADL trigger guard. I also put a 721 in a 700 BDL stock, same mods for bolt handle and safety but was able to use the 721 bottom metal by filling the cut outs at the front and rear action screw.

AWS,
Just so I'm clear, mine has a hidden magazine. Is this the same one? If it is, I guess I can look at short action 700 ADL replacement stocks.
Thanks.

Yep, I think that's the route to go. I collect 722's, so I keep them in the factory stocks, and haven't put one in a synthetic stock. From what I gather, the 700 SA stock will work, but some small amount of stock work is required in the area of the safety.
I have two of the 722's in 222 Rem, and accuracy from those old rifles is amazing.

Thanks for the help fellas.
Martyn, I don't handload for this particular rifle, but it's shoots very well with just about anything you put through it.
Good Hunting.
