Remington 788 sight question

Looking to change the open sights to a "better" more fine type.Are they available? Or will say sights from a model 700 or 760 fit? Trying to set the gun up for my son who demands to shoot open sights. I have several rifles all with scopes that he shoots real well with but i think following me around in the brush were i deer hunt he's having a hard time with the scopes. The factory sights on the 788 are not the most refined and i'm just looking to find a better set to give him a fighting chance at his first deer this coming season. thanks Gary
 
Gary- I can't give a positive "yes you can", but I would think if you had a set off a 700 Remington or the like, a good smith could install them. Whats wrong with the original? If you change out the sights, I might be interested in the original 788 sights.
 
I really like a small 1/16 or so sized front bead.I have 2 other 788's that i have taken the sights off and have scopes mounted on. Trying to lighten those little cannons up a bit. i'll have to think about parting with them but you never know. I know i'll never use them and the guns will all be my sons someday.Shoot me a pm in a month or so and we'll see.
