Remington 870 Magnum Express Barrels

I'm looking to replace my slug barrel on my 870 in 3" so I can use it to predator/turkey hunting. I was thinking of one in the 24" range, but all I can find is a 21" vent rib with Rem choke. I did find a 23" but it has rifle sights and is about $75 more than the other. I would never use the rifle sights and the vent rib would be nice for the once in 5 years dove hunt.
Am I over looking one in the 24" range? They do have a 26" , but that just seems really long to me. Will the 21" work if I spend the time looking for a load and choke that it likes or would it be better to get the 26"?
Thanks for any suggestions

Have you checked out this thread below? It's excellent.
Proper choke and shot that 21" should cover you and be pretty handy for turkey/varmints. Every 5 year dove hunt? Get another shotgun for the doves, nice little 20 with 28" would do, good excuse for another shotgun

No need for a long barrel for predators or turkeys. Unless you just like long barrels. They don't* pattern any better than short barrels.

*There's always exceptions...

The 2 biggest factors in pattern size are choke tubes and loads. Barrel specs seem to be a distant 3rd place.

Guess which barrel throws a tighter pattern for predators? The SHORT one!
