DPMS sells uppers. part number R30-BA-20.
If you do a search on that number you come up with a couple of places that have them on hand and cheaper than the DPMS store. I am trying to decide on this or an Olympic Arms .30 OSSM.

The 30 RAR is superior to the 30-30, It handles the wind very well, based on my experiences. The Rifle is much lighter than an AR-10 .308 Rifle. Hornady makes a 160 gr FTX bullet (2,615fps in my AR) which is lethal on hogs and I plan on using it for black bear this coming season.

My project caliber this year is an Olympic .300 OSSM. It'll throw a 150gr pill downrange around 3000 fps from a rifle length barrel and on an AR-15 frame! Basically a .25 WSSM necked up. Special heavy duty bolt and barrel extension. Waiting for the weather to melt the glacier up here so I can get some comfortable range time working up different loads. If you don't reload, you're stuck with HSM 150gr ammunition for about $45.00 a box. Recoil with a modest muzzle brake and limbsaver slip-on is akin to my Remington 700 in 6mm Remington.

I'll have some more details as time goes by.

Here's my rig: (sorry about the quality of image)

Am looking seriously at the 30 OSSM and would reload. How tough would it be to make brass from the 25 WSSM brass. Haven't had much experience in necking up.
