Would anyone have any idea of the approx.value.257rob or 270? Not sure of cal. yet,fair to good for $250.00 sound reasonable?

Thanks, I kind of figured it's a pos. It was introduced in 1941 and dropped in 1944. Only about 2500 manufactured.

I wouldn't call it a pos. The 720 is just an updated version of the model 30, which is just a commercial version of the 1917 enfield rifle. While I don't own a 720 I do own several customs on the enfield action, and they are all wonderful rifles. The only reason it was dropped so quickly was because of demands to build military rifles during WWII. Afterwards they decided to build something more modern. I would say if it is in good shape, 250 would probably be a good price. Heck if it is a 257 roberts and you don't want it go ahead and pm me the info and I might buy it!!!

Buy it. $250 is a good price. The action alone is worth that much..

The 1917 is a very robust action ...... I wish I had more of them.
