I recently traded for a Remington R-15 .233 18". I am wondering what factory ammo is the most accurate based on personal experience. I am waiting on a scope mount to arrive and hope to sight it in next week. Can't wait to shoot this one!!
I have the same rifle and have had good results with Black Hills, Fiocchi or HSM. All using 50 grain V-Max bullets. Very accurate and good performance on 'yotes (and p dogs, etc)...
I have the same rifle. I used to shoot Hornady 55 grain V-max with good results. Now I shoot Hornady 53 grain V-max superformance. My rifle grouped good with the 55's but even better with the 53's. I get minimal fur damage with the 53's most of the time. Price isnt too bad at about $20 a box.
I have the same gun and for some reason can't get the 50's or 55's to shoot well through it. It seems to like Black Hills Blue Box 60 grain vmax the best.
I got the RRA high rise and a nikon coyote special. It had the scope mounted on the nikon matching rings but it sets too low for me and it's mounted too far back on the gun.
I too have the same rifle, albeit the 24"SS. I also run Hornaday 55gr Vmax and Zmax with great results. Just popped another yote last night in my front yard
I just picked up the mount. I put the scope on to see how it fit me and when I sat down like I mostly hunt I had to stretch to get the eye relief right. It wasn't where I could pull the gun up and get on target quick. I had to turn the mount around the "wrong" way to get my eye relief right. It looks funny but It's gonna work.
I gave it a shot friday afternoon. Shooting Hornady Vmax 55 grain I ended with 3/4" group at 100 yds about an inch low. I was out of ammo but I was satisfied.

That is the same factory ammo mine shoots the best.
For reloading, it likes the 60 grain vmax over benchmark.
