Remington spr 94

yep. i have one. see through airgun mounts ( 11mm rail ) 2x7x26 burris scope. can shoot pheasants when they get up with shot gun barrel, coyotes with the 223 barrel. if your like me you dont get much time to hunt, better have the combo gun in case anything gets up. you cannot beat this set up. mine shoots 1.5 inch groups with black hills gold 52 hp. marty

Thanks for the reply Marty,Did you ever pattern the shotgun? I'm thinking about a pattern master choke tube if I can get one for it. How is the gun as far as quality? I havent been able to locate one in my area yet. Don

good quality for the money. heavy trigger, if a guy could get trigger lighten it will shoot under 1 inch groups. the reason i use the airgun see through rings is so the shotgun pattern will be right on. ,if you dont use see through rings and want to use the scope to aim the shotgun barrel and rifle barrel it will shoot shotgun pattern 1 foot low if the rifle is right on in scope cross hairs. i spent all year gathering this info. i should charge you for the info ha ha.... this info will also keep u from buying 3 scopes and finding out u dont have enough trave up and down. you what a scope no bigger than a 2 x 7 x 26 burris so the bell does not cover up the iron sight see through view. i have so little vacation and weekend time to hunt this gun is the only way to go. you are prepared for anything. colonial arms makes chokes for these guns. this RPS94 gun has replaced 3 guns in my safe, i sold the guns and bought a swaroski range finder. marty

Thanks again Marty, that is very useful info.I'm sure it will save me much time and money.I never thought of the bell getting in the way!It always seems that I have the wrong gun at the wrong time, thats why Im thinking about this gun for calling. Don

hi, I have a 94 and I love it. I have pattern the shotgun and it shoots just ok with buck shot. I could kill a yote at about 40 yards. I used millet rings on mine. I don't have see thru mounts but mine has open sights on top of the rings which are adjustable. When you have the see thru ring it raises the scope too far above the 223 for me. I can sight my shotgun pattern in with the adjustable sights. This also has get my eye away from the scope which I have learned on my Tikka 222/ 12 ga. My 223 shoots about "1- 1/4" at 100 yards. I have pattern the shotgun with anything then #4 buck shot.

hi,I'm new to this site and really like how people are willing to share thier knowledge. Thanks for your input wvbestshot. Did you use any special choke or the one that came with the gun? Don

wvbestshot..... man oh man... i wish i could have talked to you about those millet rings with iron sights on them last March . i have spent about 100 hours trying to get this gun set up so i can use iron sights and scope. can you tell us what model number of millet rings you have for your spr 94. i will buy some. thanks. marty

Martyrd' I will look up what model of millet rings they are, my sporting goods store ordered them for me. If the model # is on them, if not I will find out. It a really good setup and if I could post a picture I would show you.
