remington versamax 12ga opions please

Great predator gun with minimal recoil, mines been great and has never jammed or failed to feed. Shoots 2-3/4"-3-1/2" shells which is a huge plus. I would suggest a red dot on it zeroed to the center of your pattern. It is a little on the heavy side compared to my 870 but for the reduction in recoil & repetitive fire its worth it. It's the barrel/gas piston assembly that weighs it down, the rest is aluminum/plastic.

I keep coming across posts about it being heavy.I handled one at BPS and it did not feel that way to me.According to the specs it's the same weight as my 835 but the 835 most definitely feels heavier to me.I like having some weight to absorb recoil.If you intend to use 3.5" ammo I guarantee you will welcome some weight as well.

Thanks for the good info I just ordered 1 in mossy oak can't wait to get in the field I will post after I get it with results
