replaced a blown speaker in foxpro? Or diy E-caller?

My dad has a foxpro patriot an the speaker is blown out... wondering if anyone has replaced the speaker with a pa horn speaker? Or used the foxpro internals an remote to make a homemade setup? I see foxpro sells a external speaker is there another brand that is cheaper but similar in quality? I will attach pics

Its just a horn speaker. Foxpro might even have parts if you call them. Or buy a used one on ebay, theres often good calls with broken remotes for sale cheap

Sounds good... I didn't know if I could get a better quality/sounding one.... kind of something to mess around with... he stole mine so I was hoping I could have it back by the weekend šŸ˜‚
 
I am almost positive Foxpro will take care of it if you send it to them. Huge benefit of buying from them they service their callers (even discontinued models) right at their HQ in Pennsylvania!

Sounds good I talked to my dad tonight he's going to call them tomorrow...
 
Something else that's strange we have the same foxpro caller... he has been calling in coyotes like crazy... he took mine out "exact same one" an he said they won't come into the caller.... an last night he said a couple different times they ran away.... maybe weird coincidence?

Well, this is a situation that is impossible to suss out due to many factors. Iā€™m doubtful the ā€œexact same oneā€ is a dud, and the other is ā€œmagicalā€ somehow. They could simply be coyotes that picked him off visually or scented him. They could be coyotes that have been overcalled ā€œlike crazyā€ and educated. They could be coyotes that were just disinterested or intimidated by the calls being played.

Without knowing about a 100 different details about the circumstances surrounding the stands made, Iā€™d say itā€™s less a weird coincidence, and more just coyote hunting in general. Theyā€™re never a guarantee!

Good luck with the repair, and killing more coyotes as the season progresses.
