I was looking over the weekend and found www.rifle-stocks.com Some nice looking stocks for a good price. I have not heard anything on the Richards stock, do you have a link?
Excellent buddy, i have a wildcat in electric blue laminate, if you can use a sanding block, and a dremel, they are simple to finish, and a very good company to deal with, highly reccomended.
Do a search on these stocks. We have several threads that deal with R-M stocks. The wood is of good quality, but be prepaired to wait a long time for your order and if you get one of the unfinished stocks, be prepaired to put in some real shop time getting it close to a finished product. The stock I ordered was crude, rough and burried in the crude origional was the stock I actually wanted. I am very happy with the finished product.
Have bought two stocks from them and am very happy with the quality for the price. The last one I ordered was an electric blue laminate with ebony forend and grip and it came in 8 weeks exactly.
I ordered the dirt cheap plain walnut for my savage with the rosewood grip cap and foreend tip. They ran about 1 week behind their delivery schedule but I'm perfectly happy with it. Just finished glassbedding the action and am starting the final exterior finish.
There is work to do, but richard's sold this to me as 95% inletted and needing final inletting. Fact is, if I had not planned to glass bed it the only inletting work would have been a bit in the barrel channel to get a free float. For $55 I'll do business with them again.
