Rifle length handguard/rail on a carbine

I just recently purchased a Bushmaster patrolman's carbine and I want to put a rifle length free float handguard/rail on it. I am going to remove or modify the FSP so that it will fit under the handguard. I want a handguard/rail that is comfortable to shoot yet has rail for a light, AFG or whatever I decide to put on it. A slim rail would be ideal or even a round one would do if it felt right and it could accept a rail. Any optinions on this will be greatly appreciated.

I personally like the setups that you can add rail sections where you want... noveske, troy, vtac, midwest.... I used the noveske nsr rail on my last build it is a slim rail sections that feels really good in my hand .

Yeah, that's pretty nice. I would have gone with that if it had been out sooner.
 
Here's mine. It's a Bushy Patrolman's barrel also. 13" Troy Alpha with the fsb cut down and painted.

I got the spectre length yhm diamond. It's very nice, light as [beeep]? Got it off of joeboboutfitters.com for 135. I'd buy another in a heart beat. Mine with my 18" BHW barrel. Top one

I was just saying cause I kinda like the one on your gun.

That one looks like it has circles? Maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me.
 
I really like the look of the Troy Alpha, even the VTac version with the slots looks cool. I held a S&W M&P/VTac this weekend at Cabelas. I like the feel of the round handguard and it just looks clean. I think a dermel tool and I have an appointment with a FSB. Thanks for all of the input guys.

I have a Midwest industries SS on my 16" 6.8 and I like it alot. If comes with sections of rail that you can attach anywhere on the hand guard.
