Rifle Mounted Green Thrower

I used the term thrower because I just learned it. I know nothing about flashlights except what I can gather out of the muck posted on the flashlight forums.

I friend let me use a UniqueFire HS-802 (green LED) on my LRT-SASS .308 this weekend for a nighttime hog hunt. It worked well with my Leupold Mark 4 ER/T 6.5-20X50.

I think I am convinced to get one but I don't know where to buy them. I see all of these China based places online but I don't know which one is actually going to send me what I pay for. A little weary of buying outside the US.

So my first question is where do I buy?

Next I'd like to know if I have all of this straight; what I think I need is:

1. UniqueFire HS-802
2. (2) Panasonic NCR18650B - one for backup
3. Charger

By the way, first post...thanks for your help!

Steve

P.S. I'm used to hunting at night, only we use FLIR (AH64D Longbow)

Thanks for your help! I saw lightmalls and dx as possible vendors but didn't know if they were trusted sites or not.

In any case, I found a Kill Light dealer here in Houston so I think I am going to just go look at those. I know they're the same light (body anyway) and cost a bit more but I'd rather just go buy from a brick and mortar store than over the net. And they come with the mounting options, although for my gun it's getting a LaRue lever mount lol!

Thanks again!

Actually, the EWT Kill Light 250 is based on the HS-801 body; while the Sniper Hog Light Destroyer is based on the HS-802 body.

Those China websites are "trusted".... in the sense that we always hope and trust that we'll receive the merchandise within a month timeframe, and that we receive a quality item with no defects.

So are the Kill Light and Sniper Hog Lights as good or better than the HS-801/802 lights they are based on?

I don't really see a difference in the 801/802 bodies...got an idea of what's different?

P.S. I picked up 3 Kill light kits today...just hoping it was money well spent. Bought them local so no waiting for me lol!

ETA: Just looked at pics...the Kill Light is definitely based on the HS-802

Buyer beware. The red HS-802 is likely to be shipped with the red XR-C LED (my experience). If they put a red XP-E LED in it, then the throw will be decent (provided you adjust the pill some by screwing it out a few threads). The advertising claims that it has a red XR-E LED. That's false. Cree does not make a red XR-E LED. Cree does make the XR-E LED in green, so the green HS-802 has good throw.
If they ship it with the red XR-C, then the throw will be less than the red XLR250 or red Sniper Destroyer. The XR-C can't take a whole lot of current, so it has less throw.
To see what you get, look at these closeup pictures:

Thanks Pacecar for the heads up on cree XR-E RED nonexistent. I had ordered the HS-802 red light from LT BOX 2 days ago but after reading your warning I canceled the order notifying them of false specs. I see they refunded my account in full today so I must say LTBOX seems honorable as a overseas dealer. I may just pick up a host body and build a red thrower for fun. Saw some interesting reads at bl forums the other night.
