new member here; curious to know how y'all store your rifles and other firearms in your vehicles whether it be just to store it on the way to your hunting spot or 24/7. if anyone has any DIY ideas and pictures specifically post those bad boys up. i was looking into the TruckBunker but $1500+ is silly. thats what I'm looking for.
if this isn't the spot for this topic i apologize, someone please point me in the correct direction.

I use one of the upright 2 gun racks behind my seat mounted to the floor if I'm going any distance. Most of my traveling to hunt is less than a mile so my rifle sits on the center console beside me. And welcome to to the site.

The rifle that lives in my truck is muzzle down next to the console on the passenger side. Throw a coat over it if I'm in town. If I'm expecting a passenger it'll go in the back of the cab somewhere.

Took a $200 underbed tool box and bolted it into the cargo area of my jeep. locks up solid and will keep your average smash and grab perp out. I also use a cargo cover that completely conceals the box so its out of sight and out of mind.

I use to carry mine muzzle down until my buddy shot a hole in the floorboard and into the block of his truck. Now mine are muzzle up or better yet, in the back seat of my truck. Usually/ most always unloaded too!!

Carry rifles in jeep and pickup facing forward w/muzzle elevated. Never leave unattended in jeep and if I must leave in truck, they go in a case in bed w/tonneau cover locked (that never happens unless unforeseen problem occurs).

Traveling in truck they rest in a three gun carpet padded, wooden gun rack built to rest on the center console & dash board. Rack is strapped down w/bungee cord. They are covered w/a nylon cover when on hwy.

When on ranch hunting, rifles are either unloaded in vehicles or bolt lifted w/safety on.

In the back seat on the floor under my camo pull over. But I usually take it out at night so it doesn't get any surface rust with temp swings.

I have trouble posting pics here, so I'll have to describe mine. Don't know the brand name, but it goes above your head, and holds 2 guns. You don't even know they're there, and I've had people ride in my truck and never notice them, even though they were only a few inches away. I'll try to find the brand in case anyone is interested.
