Rimfire question????

LOL I figure the year 1396 would be a dead give away right off the bat LMAO.
Well, I know some of you guys here are a “little older” so I just let that ride.

I don’t know the fella that is hitting targets at 600 yards, but I sure would like to witness it! He must be sponsored by some of the best in the business!

I'm not going to say it can't be done. I will say I highly doubt this dip stick is doing it though.
And I'm not saying a 6X won't work for 600 yard shooting, but add in shooting a rimfire at 600 & expect to spot your shots too is suspect, terrain dependent of course. And, for some reason, no pics or video ever of said endeavors either.

Huh, wellll while I have posted humor earlier to discount the feat as a tall tale or even a fable.

Truth is .........
IF....
I get enough elevation, co-operating conditions (dew point, prevailing winds, altitudes), in a FIXED cradle removing all human errors. Fire enough sample size say 1,000 plus rounds at a target board of 4ft by 8ft say up to 10 integrations (10,000 rounds). Being allowed to cherry pick the impacts, I could most likely extrapolate a 6 + ten X shots at 600 yards. I have no doubt the bullet won't travel that far and further, just discount that it has any degree of what many would say accuracy in it's cone of fire. As in my world all impacts count, even if I jerk the trigger or do something stupid.

I'm convinced that this is a case of preaching from a pile of cow dung, as a platform by the person making this claim.:poop:

A 22 LR, 6 power scope and a 600 yd. target. What's the chances of hitting it? (Lets say even with an accurate 22LR rifle.)
3” target or 3’? Long range guys can hit a 12” plate at that range with enough rounds, 400yd is standard, but everything has to be perfect. Mis judging the cross wind by 2mph will be a miss. Youll also need a 24-40 scope with probably 40moa of elevation rail

Give yourself a couple hundred rounds and you might hit it, if you can even see it with a 6x. 6x on a 556 would be military standard range, they use irons to 400.

The real question is who is going to stand down there and let you know you did? Wont be me

this guy will hold the target and tell you where you hit it.

I was at a block party probably 10 years ago. One of my neighbors was telling about how they were hitting targets at a 1000 yards with their 22lr's. My wife doesn't understand to this day why I don't want to be friends with him. When you absolutely know someone is full of crap, you really don't want anything to do with them.
