rimfire scope?

I would also add the this the Weaver R9, which is very similar to the Clearidge.

I don't worry about using a rimfire specific scope on my hunting .22lrs so no way would I worry about it with a .22m. As a matter of fact I'd prefer a scope with the parallax fixed at 100-150 yards for the .22M. Kinda depends on your anticipated ranges.

Having good luck with my Redfield Revolutions(2) but just about any 2-7x or maybe a 3-9x will do the job.

One other option that you might consider, is to have the parrallax changed in a scope you use for centerfire rifles. Many of the scope manufacturers will change the parallax for you, some free of charge as a customer service.

I like the eye relief of the Leupold centerfire scopes. Seems the rimfire models have a shorter eye relief than what I like.

I purchased a Leupold VX-2 3x9 with a Leupold dot reticle, and then sent the scope to Leupold and had them change the parallax to 75 yards, something more suitable for a .22 magnum. The scope is mounted on a Ruger 77/22 magnum. It works good.

As well, I know that Burris will change parallax and so does Swift. I sent a Swift scope to be reset for rimfire, and there was no charge. It was done as a customer service. It doesn't have as generous eye relief as Leupold, but I dedicated it to a rimfire scope.

Just a thought if you have a scope you like that is set for centerfires. You can basically have the parallax set at whatever distance you want.

Man 6mm that is one sweet set up, I just joined the leupold club with my vx-3 and I know its gonna be hard to settle for anything less...

Jhedges,

Thanks.

Leupolds tend to spoil a guy for sure. I've got several good scopes that aren't Leupolds and that cost much less, but once you look through a Leupold it's just hard to consider anything else. I do however, due to cost. Over the many years I have been able to collect a good bunch of Leupolds of various models. They don't come cheap, but are well worth the money.

I was browsing the cabelas site and notcied that they have a burris ff 2 and rimfire combo, both 3-9x40, for a closeout price of 169.88$. Talking to the local gun counter guy at the store, I found out that a .88$ price tag is closeout and not just a random sale. The store was out of stock but some shipping locations still had them.I bought two in hopes of selling one to lower the price point even further.Even if I keep both sets to "scope up" my 17hmr and 22 win 52 I cant see how that is a bad deal at 85$ a scope average.fyi the cabelas guy suggested nikon for a few more bucks but that was only 1 scope.
