Rock River Arms Fred Eichler Signature Predator Rifle

Hi all,
I was about to order my first AR a RRA Predator Pursuit mid length from my dealer, then I saw the coming soon pic on the RRA home page for the predator Signature edition.

I think I'll hold off a bit longer and get it as long as its not to much heavier than the current predator 16".

Does anyone have any info on this new rifle?

I did not know Fred was a huge predator hunter. I know he is a great bowhunter who has Taken many an animal with a Palmer take down recurve. I think he might have achieved the grand slam with traditional equipment. Looks nice, but heavy ?.

He has his own show on predator hunting ive watched it several times its pretty good but old Fred might be able to shoot a bow good but hes not to handy with a rifle ive seen him miss way to much i wouldnt want him trying to sell my guns while hes a great guy he misses to many chip shots.

H-Bar I'd say, but it could be a custom profile, too.

Here, see if it looks like mine (fluted H-Bar):

Both appear like the barrel OD is slighly narrower than the width of a Picatinny rail, IMO.

No, there's isn't fluted, and it appears to be ported as a middy instead of a carbine (like mine), so the float tubes are different length.

I was just giving an example of the H-Bar OD as a comparison.

There aren't any details on the RRA site yet (just a "coming soon" banner.)

I thought it would be a nice step up from a Predator Pursuit 16" and I like the look. I would be very happy with that rifle.

Hopefully the release some info on it soon I hate waiting.

I'm ordering a RRA ATH next month. I really don't see anything on the Fred E. edition that would cause me to change my mind. In fact, the Coyote Carbine looks about as good IMHO. And I agree, that is gonna be one loud little boomer.

I looked at the RRA ATH but I decided on a Mid length over carbine but it is a very nice looking rifle I don't think that half quad hand guard fits on a mid length either which is a bit sad.

After looking over the signature edition rifle again all I would gain by getting it is a free float tube with rails screwed on, a single stage trigger and a permanently fixed muzzle break which would screw up any chances if I wanted to use a silencer. The stock looks like the operator and is already available.

Is this a correct assumption? Maybe i should just get the normal predator pursuit mid length and start enjoying it now

Is it a "double stage" trigger, or a "2 stage"? Or is that just nit picking him?

I don't like the ported breaks personally. the predator pursuit is a better looking rifle in my opinion.

Where did you find this barrel/upper I want one like it in 18".

I would just go with the Predator Pursuit too. I had a 20" ordered last week. I think it looks better also and I don't think anything is a "step up" from the PP. You might be able to add options or colors, but I don't think it would be a "better" gun. I'm sure the price point is going to be significantly higher also. The ATH is also very nice. The 18" is a nice compromise in barrel length if you think the 16 is too short or the 20 is too long. However, with the muzzle break, it is actually slightly longer overall than the 20" PP. I had one in my hands a few weeks ago and it was nice, but I went with the PP. Partly because it was cheaper also.

i will stick with my byron south model remington. this one is just not a head turner. they need to do something to the looks
