Rock River Coyote Carbine or Predator Pursuit 16"

I just bought a new pp 20" upper from a pm member,first thing I did after cleaning was weigh it. Complete upper on my postal scale 5.5 lbs. Only had it a few days and the temp hasn't been above 5 degrees not to include windchill. Driving me nuts waiting to sight it in. If it shoots as good as I've heard I'll have a 16"forged upper posted fs
 
Not to hijack this thread ... and, if it is the least bit out of line, Moderator(s) please feel free to censor ...

I have a R.R. Coyote Varmint rifle I bought late in 2013 ... I ordered it with the E.O.P. (Elevated Optical Platform) with the concept that just about every AR I ever see has some kind of elevation spacer for the optics. Well ... in my particular case, the scope is now JUST a tad high for my taste, so I am looking to either sell off or trade the upper in order to get a standard A4 upper. This upper has had 4 rounds through it, and is in like-new pristine condition. It's either lower the glass or raise the stock ... a MagPul adjustable stock is about $250, so I think the new upper is in order. If the Moderators don't have any issues with this post, I'll get back and post further contact information ... if it is out of line, please make it disappear.

I called Rock River a few years ago and The Coyote upper will weigh 3oz more than the PP upper. So really weight shouldnt be an issue in teh decision.
 
Honestly I have a RRA Coyote Carbine and I have held the RRA PP. I dont see much of a difference. They both are very accurate. I guess the big difference is the barrel. The PP Air Gauged and Cryogenically treated with a 1:8 twist. The Coyote Carbine is Chrome Molly with the HBAR barrel and a 1:9 twist. They both advertise 3/4 MOA and according to the website they both weigh in at 7.2lbs. I guess it really comes down to what barrel you want. Do you want a stainless barrel or do you want a barrel that is threaded? All this depends on what you want to use it for. If you ever had plans to add a suppresor you probably want the Coyote Carbine. If not go with the PP. Either way I think you will be happy. I have had a couple coyote Carbines. One in 6.8 and the other in 5.56. I loved my 6.8 so much I bought a 5.56 in it. I have added some things to mine. I put a MI SS handguard on it and added a barrel shroud. The scope makes it heavy so I am thinking of going to something like a Eotech or a 1-4. Without the scope on it this gun is so light. Once changed the handguard it dropped weight but then again once I added the scope it picked the weight right back up.
