Good eve all. I am contemplating a new jackrabbit gun. Do any of you have experience with the Rossi or HR Handi riffles in 20gauge or any other "LITE" weight 20 gauge? How do you like it would you buy another 1 or 4 more?

I currently carry 12gauge Rem 870 then wish I had the 10/22 or the Lever .357.

Lets here your opinions on your ideal jack/bunny gun. Oh yeah I don't like to look for a lot of brass when I could be hunting.

I think I just would like a good easy packin' gun.

Thanks
Dan

I have a old ithica single shot 20 gauge. very light and you can pick them up pretty cheap if you look around.

I have a rossi 22-250 and its a great gun, I had an H&R .410 shotgun and that was good too. I am sellin the rossi, because I want the rossi wizzard so that tells ya right there that im impressed with the low dollar guns they make.

I think dicks usually has the H&R pardners on sale for like $109 or you could get a .22lr/20 gauge combo gun from rossi with the 2 barrels for around $150ish

what im waiting for are one of the topper deluxe classics to come into stock, always seem to miss them.

the vent rib and choke tubes would be extemely handy.

the one plus the h&R has is that you can fit just about any stocks you want on them, synthetic, straight, semi pistol grip, ar style etc. lots of options.

Good luck
Dave

My .410 rossi is crap.

Id go with a h&r

or personally go with a youth 20g 870 pump.

its the best rabbit gun i own

I used to have an H&R single shot 12 guage. It was light and easy to handle, but kicked like a mule. The smaller guage should tame that a little. I imagine it would be a handy gun with a good recoil pad.

Also, look at a youth model Charles Daly Field Pump. My brother had one a while back, and i would pick that over any of my 12 guages every time!

i recently picked up a rossi 20 ga. and its very nice. The only thing i can not stand is the way the safety works. Took me a little while to get used to. For the price its worth a shot.
