RR Predator Calls Review

RR Calls was kind enough (really super kind) to send me all three of their calls for FREE to test. The calls arrived across the country in a mere two days by priority mail and I anxiously tore into them after a few sips of Wild Turkey. I am writing this not because they sent me these call as I intend to send some cash their way but instead because what I write is my honest assessment. Hopefully, RR will chime in here and add more specifics to my descriptions.

Of course this is just my personal opinion and yours may differ but here is mine.

First, it is amazing at the price these calls are sold. Very reasonable for a solid call.

Second, these calls have the ability to really get loud if the blower wants them too. These are probably the loudest calls when pushed to be that I have used. Terrific for windy days and locator purposes or the dense forests of the East.

Third, because of the oring on the externally exposed reed the user can really change the pitch of these calls at an instace.

Of the three calls I found the smallest call to be, quite honestly, AMAZING. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif I can make excellent rodent/mouse sounds and bird sounds, and rabbit sounds, and believe it or not even coyote sounds. I know George Ackley raves about the big call "Thunderdog" for coyote but my best sounds in every category kept coming from this small call. It probably shined the most for my wild turkey laced mouth with the bird and rodent/mouse squeaks. I'd give this little call a 10/10.

Thank you RR...you've really got something with this little call that is amazing. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowingsmilie.gif

You can also do an excellent barred owl on the medium and larger model calls.

Please post or pm me a link to get some of those smaller sized acryllic calls. I can't figure out on the web site how to specify the size of the acryllic call I want to order.

I agree. RR Calls ROCKS! His calls are always easy to run, versatile and sound great. I have a number of lanyards that I set up prior to hunting. I have them hanging on a shelf unit in my hunting room. One day I noticed they all had one thing in common. Each lanyard had at least one RR/Bearmanric call and one ArkyYoter call on it.

Im a big fan of his stuff.

I got a couple of Ricks calls like the ones above. I haven't had a chance to take them to the field yet but have to say they sound great and are very well made. I will be taking them out soon.

Bearmanric even has one of his calls on display at the predator hunting museum at FoxPro. Way to go Bearman, you make some of the best custom calls I've ever used.

Hey RR...I like how you referred to it as my little acrylic call /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif. I think you should name it after me /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif....maybe call it Mike's One Call Does it All or Huff's Magic /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

It is the best call I have used and I've used about two dozen so far. I wish you could hear me with it...I'm not the best caller but this one makes me seem pretty good. Seriously...I can do an excellent: rodent, bird, barred owl, and a very good coyote and rabbit. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

cool thank's every one. i have some great sounding elkhorn call's they sound different. i have different size's different sound's. Rick.
