Ruger 22/45 light accuracy issue

Recently purchased this pistol and it is absolutely the most inaccurate Ruger I have ever owned and I have several. I have shot competition with them with full satisfaction but this one is at best good for 3 inches at 20 yards. Searching the internet I find several with the same complaint. Most say it is corrected by installing a rubber bumper supplied by Ruger. I contacted Ruger. She would not even admit rather there was even such a part available and my only option was to send it to them, think I’m going to dump it and take my lose.
 
Have you tried some of the standard velocity? Remington and the Win. ( I believe T22) shot equally as well in mine.
 
Could just be a lemon. Glad to say mine shoots very well accuracy-wise. Why not send it back and see if they can do something with it. You may wind up with something good. If not, then dump it....with disclosure of course.

Maybe a little explanation for my abrupt reason for threatening to dump the gun. I have a major hearing issue, not volume as much as tone. The lady was doing her job but I couldn’t follow everything she was saying, so I asked about the Ruger part called a Grip Frame Bumper. She wouldn’t even discuss it so I terminated the call. Apparently this was something that was for the earlier MK IV’s. From what I have gathered it was never a cataloged item but special order as if and when needed, they do not provide them any more, apparently not needed on newer models. I found a source for the genuine Ruger part and ordered it along with the metal ball that goes with it. Since then I found that I can deal with warranty returns on line, maybe I can do it that way. Have considered fire lapping it but only as a last resort. In 30 years of part time gunsmithing I have done more then a few but visually this one doesn’t seem to be a prime candidate
 
I had a MK 3 lite that was terrible also. I really wanted to like that pistol as it mated with my suppressor perfectly but it was pretty much useless. I never tried to have it serviced as I figured that just how they were.

It is not how they are.
 
I've had it with the lite barrels, solid bull barrel on the way. I've had one rupture from a squib and my current one can't do a 6" group from a bench rest at 10 yds.
