Ruger 22/45 light accuracy issue

Recently purchased this pistol and it is absolutely the most inaccurate Ruger I have ever owned and I have several. I have shot competition with them with full satisfaction but this one is at best good for 3 inches at 20 yards. Searching the internet I find several with the same complaint. Most say it is corrected by installing a rubber bumper supplied by Ruger. I contacted Ruger. She would not even admit rather there was even such a part available and my only option was to send it to them, think I’m going to dump it and take my lose.

What ammo have you tried? I like mine, shoots really well with MiniMag hollowpoints.

Have an older 22/45 heavy barrel that likes CCI green tag and (is it) T22 Winchester.

3 different CCI all 40 gr but differant velocity and Winchester 42 gr all shoot about equal

Have you tried some of the standard velocity? Remington and the Win. ( I believe T22) shot equally as well in mine.

I have owned and shot enough mk 1&2’s to know this is not an ammo problem

Could just be a lemon. Glad to say mine shoots very well accuracy-wise. Why not send it back and see if they can do something with it. You may wind up with something good. If not, then dump it....with disclosure of course.
