Ruger 77 series dropped?

Buy a CF Ruger Hawkeye and you're getting the latest CF Model 77 action. The original action tang safety Model 77 has not been produced since 1991. It was replaced at that time with the current 3 position trigger/action mounted safety and CRF.

The two piece bolt RF action is what has been discontinued. These include the 77/22, 77/357, 77/44, and the 77/17.

Comes down to sales, how many people are buying $600+ rimfires? Americans are proving to be accurate from what I read. I will likely have one of the new target models.

Id rather pay the extra money for a substantially nicer overall gun. just accurate isn't everything. Before you know it, all there will be are el cheapo plastic guns and AR's. what a lame world that will be.

They are now making wood stock americans, it's called the target model.

I saw the American is available with wood in a .22LR. Im more disappointed of the drop of the 17 hornet and 22 hornet. I buy American only or I'd have a cz already.
