Ruger American in 6.5 Creedmoor

I just ordered the same gun today. Hopefully i will have it monday and i will post my reviews. If it shoots like my .223 ruger american i will be very pleased!

Well i got the scope mounted today and put about 8 rounds through it. Took me a few to get it sighted in then i shot a three shot group that was just under an inch. This was shot with hornady 140gr match. I'm gonna play with the torque on the stock bolts and i will report back....i will take pics next time.

Right out of the gate, that shows promise!

Well just got in from shooting 3-3shot groups. I know some of you guys shoot 5 but i only had one box of ammo. I played with the torque on the stock bolts....the first group i shot was with the bolts a little more than holding the stock on. I was disappointed to see about a 3in group! I tightened a little more and they got much better to around an inch. Then i tightened them as tight as i could with an allen wrench and thats when i started loving this rifle! Clover leaf bug hole! I'm gonna post pics as soon as i learn how! Lol!

I still haven't broken mine out of the pokey. Just for comparison on price, mine was $355, before tax, etc. What are they going for in other places?

I paid $429 on gunbroker. A little high but i've wanted one so long i decided to go ahead and get it. Glad i did....it's a shooter. Still can't get the pics up even with photobucket. I'm not very smart when it comes to computers and such!

I was quoted $352 before tax at a GS in northern KY last week, although he said it would be 2 weeks before he got them in stock. Think I have seen them at $365 online so id say you got a good price on yours. Now don't forget to report back after your first outing with it!

Nuthin to be upset about. He ask me a question, I answered. I ask him a question, he didn't answer till four days later. Better than my wife or boss!! LOL Glad you got one!!

Well I finally got the cabbage up to bail out my rifle. Got a Nikon 3-9x40 for it. Will be mounting the scope on the rifle this evening and hopefully hit the range this week if I can find someone that has ammo.

Will report back!

Anyone have any targets/groups to show off? Ammo they recommend?

If you're talking factory ammo to begin with, the options are pretty much limited to the 129 grain and the 140 grain Hornady options.

Both shoot extremely well in my sporter weight stainless All-Weather Model 77.
