Ruger Lcp??

Great little gun when used within it's designed range. (Close up) I carry it in my jeans back pocket . Often forget it is there. Never a misfire or jam. Typical Ruger. Absolutely reliable

When I was looking for a small pocket pistol, I looked at the Ruger, Taurus and the keltec.

I picked the Taurus over all the others because it had the best trigger, the slide stayed open after the last shot and the magazine release can be converted for a left handed person. Plus the fact it was $100 less didn't hurt my feelings any.

So far I have over 800 round of my cast reloads and about 100 rounds of factory defense loads through it with 3 different OEM magazines without any problems.

I went with the S&W bodyguard. Integrated laser (that can't be turned on by accident like the ruger .380) and the sights on the slide are dovetailed and XS makes night sights for it.

mt boy,,,,As an alternative, you might also want to take a look at the Diamond Back series...They are made in 9mm and .380...The .380 is slightly smaller than this one..

Mine was acquired in July in the 9mm caliber...Inspection of the weapon will make the buyer thing he/she is holding a miniature Glock, with the exception of the trigger, which is extremely smooth to operate...There are several accessories that are available from the Florida based company that manufactures them... For a pocket sized weapon, short barrel and short sight radius, it's extremely accurate out to 50 yards...

I don't like the LCP...that reminds me I need to post it for sale. In 380 I like my Sig P238 much more. I know it is just a little bigger; however, Ruger's LC9 is a winner in my book.

My first pocket gun was a NAA Guardian. Nice little gun but for its size it is entirely too heavy. In spite of its being very small it just didn't carry well because of the density. But, at the time I bought it Ruger hadn't invented the LCP. Two seconds after they did I bought one...I was the first to own one in my area. I have had it and have carried it since. Some folks like the lasers and it sure works good for my sister but not me...I make out better with just the sights that I just about never use anyway if close enough. For a true deep conceal carry gun the LCP is gonna be hard to beat. I like the Diamondback better but again, that one came out even later. If I had to do it over again I think I would go for the Diamondback.
