Ruger Mark IV 22/45 vs 22/45 Tactical

Great review, GC. I have read and heard that these can be picky about what ammo you feed them. I've always fed my semi-auto 15-22 good stuff (CCI Mini Mags or Fed 745's) and only ever had failures with cheaper stuff (Winchester or Remington).

I will second that. Makes your trigger break like snapping off the tip of an icicle. Wont be sorry you got one I assure you.

I will third that! not the funnest thing to swap out but when done it will increase your hit ratio for sure. I put a leupold deltapoint 2 moa on mine. kinda expensive but works will and much more compact than a scope. my eyes anymore dont like iron sights.
 
So I want to throw another idea out there, maybe it needs it's own thread...

How do you think the new Ruger Mark IV compares to the Browning Buckmark?

I think you'll find it's a Ford vs Chevy kind of thing and both are good.
 
I've had both and prefer the Ruger... honestly for no particular reason other than long experience and trust in the Rugers.

Yep....the factory trigger on my plain Jane 22/45 was horrible.
Other than that I love the thing....matter of fact I like it so much I treated it to a set of Cocobolo stocks.

Where did you find the cocobolo grips?
 
Since this got brought back up. I did add the Stoner G10 grips and found a good holster for the LITE. I also removed the rail and mounted a Holosun 507 low on the receiver. That is a shooting son-of-a-gun now and slick because of the several thousand rounds fired.
