Ruger MKII owners a new holster

Recently a buddy of mine told me about Black Dog Machine holsters for the MKII ruger. I checked out their website and decided to try one as I have yet to find a scoped holster for my Slabside that I like. Well the search is over. I did a little Dremel and file work to mine for the long pistol scope to fit, but a Fast Fire, Speed dot, or open sights should fit without any mods. My 6 7/8" barrel stops right at the end of the holster and it seems to ride my hip good. It can be worn strong or weak side and they have a high ride and low ride paddle option. I purchased one of each paddle. Retention is adjustable with two Phillips head screws and paddles are easily swapped by removing 4 screws. This setup cost me $49 shipped and that included the second paddle option

. Now I can go back to packing my favorite pistol again.

Hey Corey,

That holster is just what the doctor ordered. Good looking outfit.

I'm anxious to see you put it into action in the groundhog fields.

Thanks guys. Hopefully you'll get to see that soon enough David, I'm itching to try a few in the next week or so. Got another little problem area close to home that needs some early termination done.

Eric,
The great thing about the holster is that it is open ended and doesn't rely on the barrel for stability and hold. All the retention is on the frame and trigger guard area. If you try it on that 10" monster, I would certainly go for the low ride version

Glad to see someone makes a holster for it now that can be modified for a scope.... lol... going to have to check their website out. Thanks for posting this.
