S&W acquired Savage?

I just read that S&W bought Savage. Hopefully they dont change anything. I like the 110.

S&W seems to always wants to dabble in rifles but has never been able to successfully pull it off under their own brand... Give it 15 minutes and they will sell Savage off like they did when they played with T/C and others. Not being negative about their buying into Savage Arms but heck they have been doing this exact same thing for a long time now. just a observation is all (I think your beloved 110 is safe, they will jack around with a new offering I'm sure)

That would be awesome. Sad that these were discontinued after such a long run, and having been used by so many hunters over the decades.

A new production Model 99 with the same quality standards as those 50-era rifles would be amazing. It would also likely carry a $2k hang tag. S&W did have a decent rifle under their name when they used the Howa rifles.

TC compass crossed off and new stamps rolled on. Here comes the new savage model 109…not quite what the 110 is!

At the prices theyd have to offer a 99 at, no one will buy them, like GC said. Thats done. S&W will prob run savage in the ground and sell it like they did TC. They cant seem to do well beyond handguns and ar's.
