S&W M&P 15 sport

I have been playing around with the M&P 15 sport and here is what I did...lost the flash hider, lo pro gas block, rifle length tube, trigger to be done by bill springfield, and I mounted a burris ar332 that I got from a member on here...then gave it a paintjob. It turned out really nice and this thing loves the 60 vmax and benchmark.

Thanks, I was really surprised how well I got this thing to shoot when it was bone stock...now that the barrel is floated and the trigger will be much improved we will see how it does, but over all, for a "cheap" ar it is doing extremely well in my book.

we all know a painted rifle is more accurate!

I have it shooting around .75 with the 60 vmax and the 3x burris, although I was useing another lower with a Gieselle trigger for the load development. The current trigger is being worked on soon and then I will post a full range report.

I like the way you outlined the leaves. It almost looks like that potion of the rifle is missing it blends in with the background so well. Do you find the 3x scope sufficient?

This rifle was set-up to hunt in timber and probably never take a hunting shot past 100 yds...(its for the woods and riverbanks in tennesse). I have shot that optic to 200 and it did great, but pushing it past that, the reticle covers alot making a presision shot very difficult.

Bushy,
That is a beautiful job of painting -- but -- I swear I'd have to have a 3ft lanyard on that thing to find it when I needed. I can imagine a coyote watching me as I crawl around on my knees looking for my rifle and muttering to myself: "..I know I laid it right here..."
