Sage rat hunting

Any one know of a good place in Oregon to go sage rat hunting. I just got a new cooper rifle. I need to try it out this spring.
 
Head over by Unity Resivoir. Never had any trouble getting permission to shoot and tons of them over there. Although I would bring more than one rifle if you can, to switch out when the barrel gets too hot.
 
Get ahold of Tim Titus tt35 on here. I went sage rat shooting with him last year in Oregon. He has great area and a top notch setup. I would highly recommend him.

I've been on rat shoots at Duane's the last two years. He is great and he has tons of rats to shoot. I remember when he told me "People either run out of ammo or get sick of shooting them before they run out of rats to shoot".

To my surprise both happened. Well we ran out of ammo anyway. 1000 rounds of .223 and 1000 rounds of .22 for the closer in rats. 3 shooters. Non-stop action.

I can't say enough about the deal.

Tim and I are freinds, he runs a great operation. The guys last year hunted one of my leases, because I didn't need them that weekend.Because we are freinds I offered the ground to him.Plenty of guys have hunted with him and had a great time, plenty have also hunted with me and had a great time. Just a matter of what you want to do, how much ya wanna pay, and how pampered you want to be. If a guy is booking any hunt, doing research is key. Find what works for you, and your budget. I have nothing bad to say about Tim, or anyone else.
 
I'm just looking for a day shooting for my wife and I. Most of the time go out to the Hines area by the blm wild horse corrals. The rats in that area don't come out till late may or June so i wanted to go somewhere else earlier than that this year

a friend of mine and i have been shooting cran area for 10 years and havnt run low on rats yet. we go to the same guys place every year. he only has 40 acers.
