Sage/sand rats in Oregon

Hey there, looking for any info on hunting these critters in Oregon any help would be appreciated. My bud and I are trying to go this spring sometime. Thanks Doug

There is a rat shoot in Unity, OR every spring don't know the date yet, can be spendy. The best bet is to get to know someone with hay ground with a rat problem. Some ranchers are ok with people shooting for free some will charge a day/weekend fee. I over shot on the ground I had permission on will be several years before it is any good again. I was killing hundreds per day. There is some public ground but rats are spread out a little more. Hope this was of some help?
 
Try getting ahold of some alfalfa farmers in Christmas Valley. You have to either hit it early, before the crop is too high to cover the rats, or right after the first cutting. Or, you can just show up and you'll find places to shoot.
