I was thinking of buying a quad and was wondering if anyone could tell me how the accuracy was and how well they function??

ICU22-250,

The functioning of the Sako Quad is nothing but outstanding. No bedding required, trigger is easy to adjust, and about 15 seconds to switch barrels.
Accuracy? Here's a couple of targets I've shot with mine. The first target is my 22lr. Quad.(walnut stock) and I was comparing it to a Voelker Custom 581/541 Rem. that I own. Both rifles started out with clean bores.

The second target is the other Quad in 22mag.. I was trying to compare and/or find some 22mag. ammo that would shoot close to the Win. 40gr.hp. that I use in it.

Here's the walnut stock 22lr.

And the 22mag.

Thnx 4 the info k22. Very nice rifles. Just trying to find a very nice 22 with exceptional accuracy. I had a kimber pro varmint and just thought it should perform a little better for the price.I also had one of the new weatherby 22's and was kind of the same thing. I might be a little too picky.. I guess.

You are so right about it being hard to find a good 22mag. and in my case finding one to shoot Win. 40gr.hp's under an inch was even harder. My first 22mag. I bought new in the late 60's and it was a Savage/Anschutz 164M. The only ammo available back then was the Win. .75" to 1" was normal for it. A few years ago it started misfiring indicating it needed some headspacing work done. I retired it, found a Savage/Anschutz 141M thinking it would pick up where the 164M let off. Wrong! I sold it, bought a Browning A Bolt 22mag. Not good either. Tried a Savage. It shot pretty good, but not with Win. 40gr.hp., besides, it wasn't as classy as the Anschutz.............uh, IMHO.

Then along came the Sako Quad and the rest is history.

The Quads in 22lr. will shoot right with or better than the Kimbers, Anschutz's, and Coopers. You will not regret buying one at all.
