1st stand we walked up to the pasture gate. The pasture has an overgrown cedar row running the entire length of the fence so the only view into it is at the gate.
We saw this coyote in the field . The gate is made with metal slats about 4" wide spaced maybe 12" apart and it is too tall to shoot over so we had to quietly open it and sneak in.
We set up in the gate opening and hit Vole Squeaks. Instead of coming straight in the coyote turned and came in hard left. My buddy could not shoot because the open gate was on his side and he could not shoot through it. I eased over to the edge of the gate and center punched him, about 75 yds.
