Savage 10; 6.5 Creedmoor

I have a chance to pick up a used, but like new Savage model 10 Predator, in a 6.5 Creedmoor for a very very reasonable price. (less than 500). Any thoughts/reviews on this gun and/or caliber? From what I hear and have read the ballistics are quite impressive.

I am left handed, and I think they make this model in a lefty, but for saving $400 I think I could make a right-handed one work.

I promised myself I wouldn't buy a gun for a while..but this seems like a deal that I can't turn down.

I am in the same boat on a savage rifle. Picking it up this weekend. With the accutrigger, and the right caliber, they are awesome. My grandfather Loves the 260 rem and 6.5 creedmoor. (Very similar, but I do not personally have experience with it.) I'd say check the condition of the chamber and if it's good, get it. They make great hunting rigs or long distance rigs.

I got a 10 predator in .260 and while I have not found an accurate load for the bullets I wanted to shoot, It is very accurate (.435in) at 100yds with 123gr AMAXs. I think I will get it to shoot the 140s and 142s I want to shoot and I am happy with it.

I'm thinking that buying it used shouldn't be much of an issue.. I would have trouble buying a used 22-250 or .204 due to the velocity, but these seem to be right around 3000 fps at the muzzle. Don't want one with a trashed barrel. Like stated above I'll have to check the chamber out though.

One sat at my LGS for a while until I couldn't let it sit there anymore. I'm very happy with it. Mine is very accurate and I can't wait to hunt with it. I'd say for the money you are talking you can't go wrong.
