yes. done them that way and several other ways. all having to do with replacing the factory spring with a lighter one. many ways to skin that cat.

Take the sear spring off and throw it away, take the blade spring and use on the sear. Take a ballpoint pen spring cut to fit and use for the blade spring. Works well and is free.
