Savage Edge/Axis on sale at Cabela's!

My friend is buying one in .223 so we can go coyote hunting together. He doesn't have the dough to drop on an AR like me...although for the money I spent, I could've bought one in every caliber

But for how accurate they sound and doing a simple trigger mod it should be one heck of a rifle for the money. Just wanted to let everyone else know! The last time they were on sale was several months ago and this sale expires Jan 30th.
 
How much is cabelas wanting for them? I checked their website but they are saying $299.99 and that cant be right. I think thats the original price. Thanks, Josh
 
I payed 279 for my Edge 22-250 w/3x9 scope this last Fall,Bought a 4.5x20x50 scope and after getting it on paper at 50 and 100yrds I went out to 200yrds and took six shots,it was getting dark and my last shot was 1/4 right of center at 200..clicks its all about the clicks grrrrrrr...For the Money I have no complaints...

I had one in .22-250 that I never shot. Got it used from my cousin after he put 12 rounds down range and I sold it to help fund my Model 12 .204 If I could get one cheap enough I would buy it just to have and for the wife to use. But it would have to be a [beeep] good sale as I can buy one from Buds for $259 shipped to my dealer and no transfer fee from him.
 
Think I paid $257 plus tax at a Walmart here in Texas for an Edge/axis .223 several months ago.

I like the Edge... it's a bargain for sure. Not too refined... but accurate and serviceable.

The two I've set-up shot like champs with factory ammo... well under an inch... and both rifles were pounding on rocks out to 500 before the round count hit 20.
