I have a browning A bolt in 243 with a 1/10" barrel. I gravitate to larger bullets for better BC, as the cost difference between a 55gr and a 70gr is less than $.01
Here is my load data (some are max loads, I will indicate which) These loads are straight out of the nosler manual and can now be found on nosler's website as well.
IMR4895 35.5gr, Nosler BT 95gr, Primer CCI200, OAL 2.680", group = .443" *Max Load
IMR4895 39gr, Nosler BT Varmit 80gr, Primer CCI200, OAL 2.680", group = .699" *Max Load
IMR4895 40gr, Nosler BT Varmit 70gr, Primer CCI200, OAL 2.680", group = .827" *Max Load
I am testing some Hornady 105s right now and through two powders, RL19, RL22, it doesn't like them... its a bit long for the 1/10" barrel.
I am also testing IMR4350 with 70gr, 80gr, and 95gr, and Vihta Vuori N560 with 95gr. And I have some Nosler 90gr etips to play with also.. Just waiting for the temps to cool back down.
After I finish these, i will start playing with seating depth. My .243 chamber measures at 2.175" to ogive with 70, 80, and 95gr Noser BT bullets and a sinclair seating depth gauge/comparator.
I track my load data using google drive. It makes it very handy and available any where i can get a cell signal.... and its free
