goatpacker, that appears to be Remington's attitude as well. Ask any gunsmith, "What the easist factory action is to work with for a more semi custom build?" Automatically they all say, "Remington, of course". I guess Remington makes em simply and round bolts with only two lugs, cause they already know that someone else will do the required finishing work, on down the line somewhere. Just build em as quickly and economically as you can and get em on out the door. QA? Whats that. Oh that's the gunsmith's job.
