I owned 2 Savage rifles, the 10FP and a 12VSS if I remember correctly. That 10fp could shoot great all day long as long as it was the 69 gr Match, but the feeding problems drove me crazy.
The model 12 had a fluted barrel and strung shots like the right side of a V. I couldn't get it to stop and neither could the gunsmith I took it to. It wasn't a cheap rifle and didn't meet my expectations.
Sold both. I won't say that I wouldn't own another Savage after the 10fp. But they aren't on my "A" list.
