I had a Savage 24V and hated it. It was a .223 over a 12ga 3". The trigger pull felt like 20lbs, the selector switch on the hammer was difficult to operate with glove hands but the real issue was with the POI. When using my scope I had to aim at least a foot and a half high while using the shotgun barrel. Try that when aiming at a running critter.

Sold one here a couple years ago and it was pretty nice, I had a gunsmith work over the trigger so it shot pretty well,. Poi was pretty close so I could use the scope even for flying birds. I did dislike the selector on the hammer but it wasn't that difficult to operate. It was a 223 over 20ga walnut stock.

I found a 12 ga over 5.6x50R Mag Italian O/U with two triggers and the rifle trigger was a set trigger so I sold the Savage to finance the Italian beauty.

They are handy guns for multi species hunts.

Not legal in all states to hunt with both barrels loaded at the same time if anyone else is looking at them.
