SAVAGE OR TIKKA?

You are welcome je4Bowhunting. I thought you would appreciate the facts. The N.B.R.S.A. and I.B.S. have lots of similar scores. You are right,you can't argue that. It would be foolish.
 
why would you go and call someone a fool just because he asked the opinion one some guns and didn't go with what you said was the best. ask for some help and get lots of good help and some smart asses.
 
Since nobody else will say it----the Savage is a piece of crap---the action is a joke---accutrigger??? OK if you like Glocks I guess---otherwise gimme a break----the plastic stocks are flimsy.

Everybody and their brother told you to go Tikka---which I also agree with yet the Savage got the nod-----some would consider that foolish---which I also agree with.

Lots of experienced guys out there on this board of which you asked their opinion--yet you didn't take it---why ask if thats the case??

Learning the hard way is a good teacher---but I and many others here are trying to keep you from making a huge mistake---the smart individual would learn from others mistakes rather than going out and making their own---all over again.

A very long time ago, the majority were convinced the world was flat. I'm glad there were free thinkers and risk takers then. The majority aren't always right. I don't care what you shoot. I don't care if you like my Savages. What I do care about, is people ganging up on another individual on this forum for the purpose of making a specticle of them. I saw je4Bowhunting taking it on the chin from all sides because he chose to make up his own mind.I thought we were all on the same side here. How many times does he have to say thanks for the advice, I've made up my mind. If my post about out of the box accuracy offended anyone so be it. It wasn't nearly as offensive as the way people behave here at times. Fire away boys. But don't expect a response. I'll not lower myself to it.
 
i ask if the savage or tikka is more accurate out of the box and no one has giving me reason to think that a tikka will out shoot a savage out of the box. i don't care if the bolt can be opened with one finger on a tikka and it moves a little side to side on a savage,i care that once my bolt is closed that my bullet is goin to hit where i am aiming. just because its prettier and smoother dont make it better in my book. where it counts is on the paper at the end of the range to me. they have the same out of the box gaurantee ( 1" or better) so if i want to save a few bucks because i dont care about having the prettiest gun and i want to buy an american product of instead of an import then thats my bussiness. if talkin crap across the board makes you feel cool then go ahead and talk.

Who's talking crap? This is a forum environment we're in. Things are often said tonque and cheek. opinions come from every direction and perspective. It's just a forum. Your hangin on to tight Dogwood creek. Relax and enjoy life. It's going to be OK.

I THINK YOU ALL ARE FORGETTING WHAT MAKES EACH RIFLE MANUFACTURE ACHIEVE TO MAKE THE BEST OR BETTER RIFLE AND THAT IS THE STRIVE TO BEAT THE OTHER!!!!! I KNOW IN REAL LIFE OR EVEN IN THE WILD IS THAT COMPITIION BETWEEN MAN OR ANIMAL THAT KEEPS OF STRIVING TO SAY ALIVE OR TO BE BETTER AT WHAT WE DO!!! AND LIKE I SAID THEY BOTH CAN SHOOT BETTER THAN I CAN!!

yeah, i have looked at the winchesters. i sure like that coyote light. after i buy this hunting rifle i will be in the market for a varmint/bench rifle. i will be looking at the TIKKA varmint series, winchester coyote light and the model 12 bvss savage. The winchesters are nice guns, i have a few friends with model 70 shadows and i like the feel of them. havent got to handle a coyote light yet.
 
I just put my .243 Savage for sale not because I don't like it, but because I have to help financing an AR 15 issue I have coming up.

I love this gun and in fact I am a little upset selling it, but my Chief Financial Officer (aka wife) found out I am buying the AR and now I'm almost sleeping in the camper...
 
Okay.... I have a friend that is selling a Savage 308 10FP,
20" barrel, pre Accu-trigger. Comes with the factory black stock, Choate Ultimate Varmint stock, Tasco 10X Super Sniper scope, Millet Rings and bases, Harris Bipod, and sling. All this and less than 300 rounds thru it for $550.

He does not beat up his equipment either. He is simply more into AR's than bolt guns right now and is looking at building something new.
